Outdoor Retail Sales Associate

We are currently hiring retail sales associates for full and part-time seasonal positions. We generally hire between March - May, however, we accept applications year-round. Our retail shop is open year-round which compliments our instructional clinics generally run from April-October.

Minimum Qualifications for Retail Sales Associates

  • A flexible "can do" attitude
  • Outdoor Retail experience, especially in paddlesport equipment, is preferred but not required
  • Outdoor enthusiast with an interest in kayaking, canoeing and other water activities
  • Comfort with retail software and computer proficiency
  • Comfort with answering phones and talking directly with customers
  • Polite, courteous, and professional
  • Embrace feedback as a vehicle to self-awareness and growth

Responsibilities

Shifts and schedules vary, and our scheduling process is very flexible, accommodating staff seeking seasonal full or part-time employment. Weekend availability a must. A multiplicity of roles and responsibilities fall under the umbrella of the Paddlesports department, all of which will be discussed during the interview. Universal responsibilities are:

  • Punctuality and ready to work when you arrive
  • Ambassador to our guests. Helping to create a positive atmosphere
  • Exercising sound judgment and professional behavior on and/or off the water
  • Seeing your work through to completion
