Analyst, Building & Asset Security (Electronic Security Analyst)

**JOB SUMMARY**

This position is responsible for supporting the design, installation, and maintenance of safety and security systems at company facilities and assets. Primary responsibilities include supporting electronic security coordinators and building asset staff through all stages including analysis, design, construction, implementation, testing, programing, and system monitoring.

This position will coordinate with Southern Company internal and external contributors to plan, implement, install, and maintain electronic and physical security programs that are selected for the protection of company assets or mandated by regulatory requirements.

This position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES,**

+ Able to respond and assist for emergencies impacting Software House Ccure Security Access Controls and Avigilon CCTV Systems at the Corporate Headquarters and other APC and SCS facilities.

+ Support upgrades to Software House Ccure Security Access Controls, and Avigilon CCTV Systems and new applications.

+ Assist in maintaining and supporting multiple Software House Ccure Servers/Systems across the Southern Company (Access Control, Biometrics, Anti-tailgating, Turnstiles and CCTV).

+ Provide consultation, electronic security analysis, recommendations and budgetary estimates to customers as directed by electronic security coordinators and building & asset security staff.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

+ Two-year degree (college/technical/vocational) or equivalent experience in electronics, telecommunications and/or computer technology preferred

+ Knowledge of the design, installation, and service of intrusion detection systems, access control systems, closed circuit television systems, central station monitoring systems, telecommunications systems (CYSCO) such as WLANs, voice and data network systems including IP addressing and naming (DNS, DHCP, and WINS), Web and Proxy, Internet, Firewalls, Virtual Private Network (VPN), IP Multicast, and remote computing access (Internet RAS).

+ Ability to administer and support multiple Ccure Servers/Systems across the Southern Company (Access Control, Biometrics, Anti-tailgating, Turnstiles and CCTV).

+ Experience in Windows SQL Server implementation, backup and recovery processes.

+ Must have a strong focus on teamwork, be a team player and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and other TO organizations.
