The following position is available to join our RTX Enterprise Services Team: RTX has an opening for an Associate Director, Enterprise Services Customs Operations Lead (Associate Director, Business Systems and Transportation) position responsible for engaging with RTX business process leaders to design the future customs operations processes for the Company, representing the interests of the Enterprise Procurement & Program Services organization. Customs operations processes are guided by Global Trade regulations and are both influenced by, and influence procurement processes. RTX launched oneRTX focused on leveraging the scale of our three business units to improve collaboration, arenaflex structure, productivity, and performance. The oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation (PST) project is one of several major, multi-year initiatives under oneRTX that align to our goals as a company and optimize how we work, how we operate and how we deliver to our customers so that we can achieve our full potential. oneRTX: PST will harmonize processes, tools, and metrics across RTX, while deploying a common enterprise resource management platform – SAP’s S/4 HANA. The result will be a common user experience across the businesses, real-time visibility into critical data, and automation of manual tasks enabling all employees to focus on value-add activities. With processes optimized and harmonized, we will leverage our scale so teams across RTX can share resources, leverage talent seamlessly and identify efficiencies. We will reduce arenaflex and effort and improve performance as we break down silos and establish consistent ways of working. What You Will Do: • Collaborate with the Business Unit (BU) global trade and customs leads to develop and coordinate an overall approach for customs operations processes across multiple BUs, ensuring alignment and consistency in processes and practices. • Support the design of a customs operations approach that enables RTX to operate with more common, collaborative, and interoperable processes & systems. • Drive alignment across customs areas, including appropriate connectivity to the upstream and downstream processes to achieve the overall oneRTX: PST objective. • Influence key decision-makers on critical system design choices for customs operations, providing expert guidance to shape RTX’s overall approach to customs operations. • Engage with RTX’s system integration partner, supporting system blueprint and design sessions to ensure the customs operations processes are fully integrated with broader systems and tools. • Partner with RTX Business Units, Enterprise Services and Corporate Functions on development of future state process improvements. • Travel ~ 25%-40%, primarily to Richardson, TX and other major RTX US sites (Farmington, CT; Cedar Rapids, IA; and Charlotte, NC). Qualifications You Must Have: • Minimum 12+ years' relevant experience in U.S. Customs and a degree in Business Administration, Technology or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling. • Strong working knowledge of U.S. and International Government Global Trade / Customs laws and regulations, policies, processes, and programs • Experience with SAP, MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and other applicable software. • Licensed Customs Broker Qualifications We Prefer: • Prior ERP system implementation experience, preferably with S4Hana. • The ability to: • Lead and manage change under the oneRTX vision of improving collaboration, commonality, and interoperability. • Work effectively in a matrix and team environment and collaborate across lines of business and functions.
