About the Role
We are hiring an AU & PH Tax Accountant to support an Australia-based client operating in the professional services / accounting space.

This is a full-time, permanent work-from-home position focused on end-to-end bookkeeping, AU and PH payroll and taxation processing, and financial compliance and reporting across multiple entities. You will collaborate with international stakeholders and help ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform data entry, organization, and cross-referencing using accounting systems
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including follow-ups with debtors and creditors
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), month-end, and WorkCover reconciliations
  • Process and complete bank reconciliations accurately
  • Handle debt recovery and collection processes
  • Create, review, and approve vendor bills and purchase orders
  • Maintain invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with employee and contractor tax computations every pay run
  • Process AU payroll including Superannuation, STP, and PAYG compliance
  • Manage Philippine payroll including withholding tax and statutory contributions
  • Handle PH tax compliance and government remittances
  • Liaise with the external accountant for annual accounts and tax-related queries
  • Perform ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks as assigned by the supervisor

What We’re Looking For
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Tax Accountant, Accountant, or Senior Bookkeeper
  • Mandatory Australian accounting experience (AU clients, AU entities, BAS, payroll, compliance)
  • Mandatory Philippine tax and payroll experience (withholding tax, statutory remittances, compliance reporting)
  • Strong hands-on experience with AU accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and payroll processing
  • Proven experience preparing BAS, IAS, and month-end reconciliations
  • Solid experience using AU accounting and payroll systems
  • Ability to work independently in a Permanent Work-From-Home setup

Nice to Have
  • Accounting or bookkeeping certifications
  • Experience supporting Australian SMEs or professional services firms
  • Experience handling multiple entities simultaneously
