The opportunity

Developing the very best systems, through the use of AI and automaton is at the core of everything we do at Sphere. As part of our engineering team, initially you will be working across the business on a range of projects to help bring efficiency and accuracy to everything we do internally.

This role will involve plenty of training and support to make sure you have all the tools and training you’ll need to grow, but even as an entry-level role, you will be given a high level of autonomy to make a real difference.

We need to ensure our software exceeds customer expectations, so as you expand your knowledge of everything Sphere, you will begin to deliver high-quality trading solutions, working as an integral part of our engineering and product teams, to set you up with a really broad knowledge base for what may then come next in your career with Sphere.

What we’re looking for in you

  • You’ll need to be have a real passion for development, ideally from a computer science degree (or similar)
  • As part of your studies you will have used .net, which is combined with a proven curiosity for experimenting with Claude, Cursor, etc
  • While the longer-term route for this role is to become a developer, initially you be collaborating on a range of projects across teams – so being flexible in approach, and a desire to solve problems is essential
  • Adopting an analytical approach to problem solving is going to be something you absolutely thrive at, analysing data, building solutions and producing succinct outputs that can be utilised by different internal teams
  • Your verbal communication skills will need to be on point, as you’re part of a small dev team that will put the need to work together at the core of its success
  • Working in a growing fintech, a genuine interest in technology and to apply AI in a commercial setting will give you a great foundation for success
  • Hybrid working – Flexibility to work from the office as much as preferred, with a min of 2 days per week in our LDN office initially
