DescriptionThe "AWS - Automation" Engineer would meaningfully contribute to project delivery with hands-on experience managing enterprise cloud platforms focusing mainly on requirements for ensuring cryptography, PKI and Digital certificates . The engineer will work closely to design and build automated operational processes focusing on scalable cloud crypto deployments with paradigm of infrastructure as a code. You will be a critical member of a global Data Protection team working to build and support multi-cloud automated platform (IaaS). You will bring a strong background in automated software engineering in cloud operations with strong emphasis on scripting, automated software engineering practices and supporting an enterprise level cloud platform Responsibilities:Develop infrastructure as code on AWS / Azure / GCP using best practices and implementations for nonproduction and production environmentsImplement automated configuration and deployment process towards improving functionality, availability, and manageability of crypto objects across cloud offeringsLead technical operations on main initiatives or projects from requirements to design to implementationImprove productivity in delivery orchestration, proactive monitoring, self-healing automation and operations validationsSolve problems related to these mission critical services and build automation to proactively detect and prevent their re-occurrencesLead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions, collaborating across engineering, security, and business teams.Promote DevSecOps practices, arenaflex/CD pipelines, and cloud-native tooling to enhance posture and reduce friction.Ensure operational coverage, whilst driving automation and new ideas using modern engineering practices such as Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code and engineering delivery and maintaining platform security posture.Build and maintain arenaflex/CD pipelines and IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.Integrate monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch) for performance and security.Collaborate with agile teams to ensure secure, reliable code delivery.Provide hands-on support, off-hours, troubleshooting, and on-call production support on a rotational basis.Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the DevOps team. Qualifications8+ years of overall experience as below:Software engineering comprising of designing, developing, and operating robust and highly scalable cloud infrastructure servicesKnowledge of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, PKI and encryptionExperience with cloud infrastructure project with hands-on migration expertise on public clouds such as AWS and AzureMaster in writing IaC to apply AWS Data protection services like KMS, Certificates and HSM across other AWS consumer services like LB, EKS, S3.Experience with DevOps & IaC tooling - CDK, Terraform, arenaflex/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Git, Groovy, Shell scripting, Bitbucket.Proficient in automation/configuration management using Ansible, TerraformExpertise in coding and scripting using: Python, Ansible, AWS SDK and CLI , PowerShell , Configuration as Code principles and API integrationUnderstand Authentication & Authorization Services, Identity & Access ManagementIntegrate and optimize SOAR platforms like Tines and Demisto for incident response and workflow automation.Strong documentation, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.Experience with digital certificate management and cryptographic infrastructure.Good to have: • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - ProfessionalAWS Certified SecurityTerraform Authoring and Operations ProfessionalAzure DevOps Engineer (AZ-400) - Expert Additional InformationThis is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica.
