As a Specialist, Business Banking Services you will develop strong active listening skills and learn a wealth of knowledge about business banking. You will work with a network of internal & external business groups to find the right solutions for our customers. You’re fluent in both French and English as this role provides support to clients and team members inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.

Responsibilities

  • Probe to understand customer needs and provide Business Banking sales, service and advice to existing BMO customers or prospects.
  • Advise customers on Business Banking strategies and products (including credit cards) that meet their objectives and priorities.
  • Fulfill sales and service activities for the customer in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Identify and makes referrals to other business groups as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries in an informed, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved customer situations to the appropriate BMO colleague as required.
  • Perform any required activities & transactional outcomes after calls to ensure customer’s requests are accurately processed.
  • Refer to other business groups as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of business banking and credit card products & processes and integrate into customer conversations in a professional manner.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of customer and Bank information and Adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements appropriate for the jurisdiction.
  • Report issues as needed to protect the bank, and our customers.
  • Engage clients in holistic needs based conversations to develop a complete understanding of the Business Banking needs and identify financial solutions to fulfill immediate and future needs. These solutions include commercial deposit accounts, cash management solutions (Online Banking For Business, Electronic Funds Transfers, & Wires), Small Business Lending & Small Business Credit Cards, Merchant Service Solutions (Moneris), Payroll Solutions (ADP) & more.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Personal and Small Business Banking Products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and proactively establish personal connections.
  • Organization skills.
  • An aptitude for continuous learning, listening, solving problems, and responding flexibly/creatively to new challenges.
  • Strong collaboration with internal partners and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Bilingualism French/English Required.
