Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to support a U.S.-based homecare client. This role is focused on maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, and ensuring the integrity of financial data across multiple entities. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and other bookkeeping tools is essential.

You will play a key role in keeping financial operations organized, compliant, and up to date, working closely with internal teams and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Operations

  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including bank and credit card reconciliations, expense categorization, accounts payable, deposits, and journal entries
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts with high accuracy
  • Process and track credit card and ACH transactions (WorldPay or similar platforms)
  • Ensure all financial records are complete, organized, and audit-ready

Financial Reporting & Recordkeeping

  • Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow)
  • Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and tax preparation support
  • Consolidate financial data across 3–4 legal entities
  • Support external accountants during audits and reviews

Payroll Support (Bookkeeping-Focused)

  • Assist with payroll processing using systems such as ADP or Intuit Assisted Payroll
  • Maintain payroll-related records and ensure proper documentation
  • Coordinate payroll data while ensuring accuracy and compliance

Systems & Tools

  • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop as the primary accounting platform
  • Work with bookkeeping and financial tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and related accounting software
  • Maintain structured digital filing systems using Google Workspace and Microsoft tools

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience & Skills

2–3 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop (Required)
✅ Proven background in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
✅ Familiarity with U.S. accounting practices is a strong advantage
✅ Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
✅ Ability to manage multiple accounts and entities accurately
✅ Clear and professional English communication skills (written & verbal)

Technical & Work Setup

✅ Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50-100Mbps)
✅ PC/Laptop with at least 8GB RAM, i5 processor or equivalent
✅ Noise-canceling headset (preferred)
✅ Quiet, professional home office environment
