MSK is seeking a Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter will perform routine and niche carpentry tasks to construct, repair and maintain the condition and appearance of hospital building, facilities and furniture.

Role Overview:

  • Assess job to be accomplished: review blueprints, diagrams, work orders; discusses project with customer; take measurements; resolve appropriate materials to be used; assemble equipment; tools and materials needed; prepares work area.
  • Build, repair and install as advised within the capabilities of the trade, such as: furniture, walls, counters, shelving, ceiling systems, flooring, scaffolding.
  • Respond to customer service questions or request demonstrating courteous and professional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and secure work environment. Ensure accurate care and use of tools, equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Take vital precautions to follow institutional, departmental, or regulatory agency safety requirements.

Key Qualifications & Core Skills:

  • Vocational trade school or equivalent.
  • Sufficient knowledge to handle assignments of routine and non routine difficulty with minimal direction.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate efficiently.
  • Ability to comprehend blueprints, technical drawings/renderings.
  • Mathematical ability to calculate angles, estimate materials required, etc.
  • Ability to operate a variety of power tools, equipment and hand tools.

Additional Information:

  • Location: 11275 York Ave (Main Campus)
  • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday (weekends as needed)
  • Report to: Manager, Carpentry

Pay Range: $46.52 - $74.52
