They are responsible for daily entry, reconciliation, electronic data interchange, and analysis of all activity between the bank lockbox, patient accounting system, and the general ledger. This position requires detailed analysis and critical thinking to ensure accurate balances are reflected on accounts and determine what is necessary to correct an account if not matching remittances. In addition, the Credit Balance Specialist ensures proper account documentation within the facility’s systems on actions taken on account under the supervision of the department leaders. This role is a remote position supporting a virtual business office. As such, this role requires frequent and effective communication via phone, email, and instant messaging with the various engagement teams. Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, ability to work independently, and be self-motivated are required.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h3></h3><p></p><p><b>Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Monitors all third party and patient payments, including any received electronic funds and manual transactions to ensure that all payment transactions received from all payer sources are fully accounted for, accurately credited and debited and balanced daily between the bank <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word;
