Claims Specialist – Casualty

Aon is currently recruiting a Claims Specialist to join our Casualty Claims Team within the Global Broking Centre based in Chelmsford.

What the day will look like
In this exciting role, you will be engaged in the management and administration of new and existing notifications, collections and the successful resolution of a portfolio of Casualty claims. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Dealing with first notification of claims, subsequent updates and collections
  • Dealing with markets, client and placement teams, network offices, underwriters and appointed third parties (loss adjusters, lawyers etc) in conjunction with the claim lead(s)
  • Help facilitate and follow up on the payment and settlement of claims for clients with underwriters
  • Coordinate discussions and meetings to support a superior level of communication between the client, underwriter and their representatives concerning the handling and settlement of claims
  • Conduct data analysis to establish the claims history for a particular client or business portfolio, and to identify trends and patterns in claims for a client or business segment
  • Liaison with other teams as necessary to ensure sharing of relevant information and any other tasks that Aon and your line manager might reasonably require
  • Work with other Aon personnel around the world to ensure strong service delivery to our clients

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience dealing with claims from First Notification of Loss to resolution
  • Knowledge of Casualty Claims an advantage (although supported by development opportunities through the experienced team in place)
  • Experience of the CLASS and ECF Processing system (preferable)
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • A-level or equivalent and Cert CII desirable
