Overview: The Cloud Engineer will play a key role within the cloud operations team working closely with development, security, and the engineering teams to ensure the development, deployment and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. Drive cloud adoption through proven experience in deploying solutions, enhancing sustainability, implementing automation, and balancing cloud solution costs. Responsibilities: Leadership and Direction • Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially on highly complex assignments. • Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance. At the Operational and Company Level • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to develop the necessary resources, automation and code to implement the specified cloud solutions. • Work closely with support, security, architecture, and development teams to ensure seamless implementation and sustainment over the full lifecycle of the solution. • Lead operations teams in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving cloud-related issues. Do the Work • Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements. • Suggest and evaluate cloud operations best practices for cloud adoption, governance, security, and scalability. • Lead cloud migrations, modernization, and digital transformation project initiatives. • Develop and deploy cloud solution artifacts using infrastructure as code (IaC), DevOps, and arenaflex/CD in an enterprise cloud adoption framework (CAF) environment. • Ensure cloud solutions development and deployments meet compliance with industry standards, security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture. • Optimize cloud costs, performance, and reliability by leveraging cloud operations best practices. • Configure platform controls to manage costs effectively and prevent overruns. • Stay up to date with cloud services, trends, and emerging technologies. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Three or more (3+) years of experience in cloud engineering and operations in arenaflex Azure. • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and cloud security principles. • Solid understanding of zero trust and cloud security. • Proven experience in designing, building, and migrating Azure cloud solutions. • Strong knowledge of DevOps, Cl/CD, and automation in cloud environments. • Proficiency developing and deploying landing zone solutions using Azure cloud services including virtual machines, containers, applications, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management. • Experience designing Azure solutions to meet the core pillars of the Well-Architected Framework (WAF). • Experience deploying and maintaining the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and associated Landing Zones. • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing DevOps pipeline for infrastructure as code (laC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (Cl/CD) workloads using Azure DevOps, BICEP, ARM, YAML, Terraform, or similar tools. • Strong PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting skills. • Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application lnsights for performance and reliability management. • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). • Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to DevOps processes. • Proficient in arenaflex Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments preferred. • Familiarity with Azure enterprise architecture frameworks (CAF/WAF) preferred. • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST 800-53 and GDPR preferred. • Relevant certifications such as arenaflex Certified: Azure Administrator and DevOps Engineer preferred. • In accordance with federal requirements to access Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) US citizenship is required for this position.
