Job Description Freda Rebecca Gold Mine is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our innovative technology team. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from Bindura, Mashonaland Central Province, or anywhere within Zimbabwe, while supporting our crucial operations. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based systems and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across all environments. You will work closely with our IT and operations teams to translate complex business requirements into robust, efficient, and arenaflex-effective cloud solutions, with a strong focus on automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and adherence to industry best practices. Your expertise will be vital in managing our cloud environments, deploying new services and applications, troubleshooting complex issues, and continuously improving our arenaflex/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and management. • Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and arenaflex optimization, implementing proactive measures for improvement. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate cloud services and ensure seamless deployments via arenaflex/CD pipelines. • Implement and manage cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, providing expert support and root cause analysis. • Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures to ensure clarity and consistency. • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, evaluating and recommending new solutions to enhance our capabilities. Required Skills • 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager) • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing) • Experience with arenaflex/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab arenaflex, Azure DevOps) • Proficiency in Linux or Windows server administration • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and collaboration abilities for a remote team environment.
