ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY This role supports the technical delivery of solutions to end-customers that bridge Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT), with an emphasis on cloud, edge and enterprise integrations. Your efforts will enable Wind River to implement integrated solutions using cloud platforms in real-world industrial and enterprise environments. You will position and provide support for Wind River’s portfolio including eLxr Pro Linux, Studio Operator and other Wind River Edge products as needed. Depending on customer needs, you will be involved in integration projects that include enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow and cloud platforms such as Wind River’s Cloud Platform, particularly in the context of OT/IT workflows and automation. The solutions you will support address complex challenges of deploying physically distributed clouds at scale and managing highly available and secure platforms for modern enterprise applications. You should have experience in software, systems, or infrastructure engineering, with familiarity in cloud platform and distributed systems. Exposure to OT systems (e.g. SCADA, PLCs, industrial protocols) is a strong plus. You must be capable of understanding the end customers’ problems and whiteboarding solutions using our product offerings and services. You should also understand software or infrastructure deployment cycles and be comfortable working in both IT and OT-oriented environments. Some amount of travel will be required. Interface & Collaboration Report directly to the Senior Director of Sales and Field Applications Engineers. You will be an integral part of sales team and the broader community of solution architects and specialized Account Managers/Directors and strive to become the trusted technical advisor to our partners and customers by understanding their business needs and addressing those needs through Wind River’s products, services, and solutions. You will collaborate with customer-facing teams, engineering, product management, professional services, and other members of the solutions engineering team. Responsibilities • Support the technical implementation of solutions that integrate OT and IT systems for customers, leveraging Wind River tools and platforms. • Serve as a key technical resource for customer projects, contributing to architectural planning, deployment guidance, and solution integration. • Work with customer stakeholders to understand needs and assist in the development of Proofs of Concept, demonstrations, and technical presentations that showcase OT/IT integration and enterprise platform interoperability. • Assist in customer projects that involve integration between OT systems and platforms, such as ServiceNow for workflow automation or incident management. • Participate in requirements analyses and contribute to technical solutioning. • Participation in open-source projects will be based on business needs. • Provide consistent market feedback to Wind River. • Remove technical barriers for Wind River solutions. • Increase Wind River's market share globally. ABOUT YOU Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success • Be hands-on in supporting the development and testing of PoCs for OT/IT integrated solutions. • Familiarity with open-source projects such as StarlingX, Kubernetes is a must. • Knowledge of modern enterprise IT infrastructure, private/hybrid cloud platforms, Telco Core/RAN, OSS/BSS and application performance management tools is a strong plus. • Familiarity with enterprise platforms like ServiceNow, particularly in the integration or automation context, is a strong plus. • Exposure to OT environments such as industrial automation, SCADA systems, PLCs, or industrial protocols is a strong plus. • Experience explaining technical concepts to large audience, comfort, and confidence in front of customers. • Able to work independently in partner and end customer locations/labs. Qualifications • The ideal candidate should have 7-10 years of experience in solutions architecture, systems engineering, or OT/IT in the following areas: • Solid understanding of OT systems and their integration with enterprise IT and Cloud platforms (data center, edge, and public/private cloud). • Experience with system-level solution design, including workload orchestration, networking (switching, routing) and integration with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow is preferred. • Familiarity with virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and cloud-native technologies and orchestration tools. • Linux background covering deployment, image build, application, and kernel development and familiarity with various programming languages (C++, C) and scripting languages (Python, Perl) is preferred. • Must have English language skills enabling business discussion/dialogue. • Travel at short notice availability required up to 25%. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
