Job Summary The Consulting Director will help drive Proactive Consulting Services across the cloud security domain. This senior-level consultant will serve as a trusted advisor and key contributor to helping our customers strengthen cybersecurity resilience and advance their overall security maturity. Key Responsibilities Serve as a key contributor to the development, maturation, and innovation of Unit 42’s cloud security consulting services. Lead and deliver complex cloud security assessments covering architecture, configuration, identity, and threat detection across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Proactively collaborate with and support delivery teams in overcoming technical objections and tying cloud security recommendations to business risk. Evaluate cloud network architectures, including perimeter protections, VPC/VNet segmentation, API gateways, and cloud-native security services. Assess cloud identity and access management (IAM) design, including federation, least privilege models, and MFA enforcement. Develop strategic cloud security roadmaps that align technical recommendations with a client’s broader business objectives and resource constraints. Build and maintain long-term executive relationships, serving as a trusted strategic advisor for cloud security and Zero Trust initiatives. Engage with prospective clients to uncover cloud security pain points, evaluate architectural weaknesses, and position Unit 42 solutions. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience required; a Master's degree or PhD is a plus. 12+ years of relevant work experience, 8+ with a Master's degree, or 5+ with a PhD. 4+ years of experience performing cloud security advisement and risk assessments based on industry-accepted standards. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud hosting provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Deep experience within the Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) technology or advisory/consulting space. Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of professional services/consulting experience, with 3+ years in a Director or Senior Manager role leading delivery teams. Cloud Security-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer). Experience with cloud migrations (e.g., on-prem to cloud, cloud to cloud). Knowledge of integrating command-line interfaces or scripting tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) as part of a risk assessment. Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission arenaflex (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
