Job description

Marketing firm seeking self-motivated professionals with strong communication and computer skills for long-term role as a Customer Outreach Specialist. In this position, team members support our clients' marketing campaigns by conducting outbound phone outreach to customers and contacts provided by our clients. Most of the workday will involve making outbound calls as part of clients campaigns.

Calls may involve gathering feedback, sharing information about services or events, confirming details, or helping maintain engagement and building relationships with our clients' customer base.

No selling involved. Team members communicate using campaign guidelines rather than prepared scripts, so the ability to carry natural, professional conversations and think on your feet is essential.

Position offers a flexible schedule, 25 hours per week, salaries commensurate with experience, and retirement benefits. Potential candidates must have a strong work ethic and have the ability to work effectively from a home-based office.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Communication: Engage with customers via telephone to support and build trust while servicing their unique needs
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through personalized and empathetic interactions
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a high level understanding of our services and products to effectively address inquiries and stay updated on new tools and features
  • Team Communication: Keep the team informed of significant developments, relaying critical information as needed
  • Information Gathering: Collect feedback, confirm information, and document responses according to campaign requirements.
  • Call Documentation: Accurately record call outcomes and notes using spreadsheets or company software.

Qualifications

Education: Associates degree or higher preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the phone without relying on scripts
  • Comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday making outbound phone calls
  • High comfort level with learning new software applications
  • Self-motivated – able to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Empathy, patience, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle upset customers with professionalism and effective de-escalation techniques
  • Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the workday
