CVP, Sales Representative - A&H (Remote, any state, US)

Location Designation: Fully Remote

We're open to remote or hybrid arrangements (White Plains/Westchester area), so long as you can reliably commute to your assigned client sites.

Role Overview:

New York Life is seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Representative to lead our Accident & Health (A&H) distribution efforts. This role is responsible for driving new business growth, managing large account renewals, and deepening partnerships with key A&H brokers. This role requires collaboration with Underwriting, Account Management and Contracts/Compliance and is a key contributor to NYL's continued market expansion and long-term success in the A&H space.

What You'll Do:

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the development and implementation of a national sales strategy for the A&H portfolio with focus on Business Travel Accident and Special Risk.
    • Own execution of growth initiatives and sales targets, including new partnership identification and broker engagement.
    • Establish and maintain a performance management cadence, including metrics tracking (submissions, quotes, binds).
    Collaboration & Relationship Management
    • Build strong broker and consultant relationships to ensure high retention and satisfaction.
    • Partner with underwriting team to facilitate cross-selling and multi-product strategies.
    Program Development & Innovation
    • Drive continuous improvement of existing sales programs while identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
    • Contribute to product strategy by gathering market intelligence and delivering insights to the product development team.
    Broker Strategy & Growth
    • Expand NYL’s broker network by increasing the number of contracted Employee Benefits and A&H producers.
    • Segment the broker base and develop targeted marketing campaigns to support volume growth and profitability.
    • Lead key broker engagement activities such as stewardship meetings and advisory councils.
    Market Intelligence & Reporting
    • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and internal performance to inform strategic adjustments.
    • Partner with Marketing to align campaigns with sales initiatives.
    • Deliver timely reporting and insights to senior leadership on goals, progress, and business drivers.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent insurance education)
    • 10-15 years in insurance sales, ideally within A&H or Group Benefits.
    • Deep knowledge of Group Benefits and A&H
    • Proven success in designing and leading sales strategies with a consistent track record of growth, retention, and broker development.
    • Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills.
    • Strategic thinker with strong operational execution capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 25-30%.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $190,000 -$270,000 (base salary plus sales incentive)

Overtime eligible: Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: Yes

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
