The Purpose:

The ideal Deal Editor candidate is someone who is passionate about deals, loves to learn, knows and is curious about different products/categories, detail oriented, and has the ability to work on their own in a fast paced environment. As a Deal Editor you will help identify and write good deal detail content and merchandise the top trafficked pages of Slickdeals.net to help our shoppers discover great deals. 

What You'll Do:

  • Keep an eye on the Popular Deals section and use internal tools to consider deals for our Front Page
  • Assess the deals by comparing pricing with other stores on the web as well as recent and past deals on Slickdeals, etc.
  • Rewrite the deal content for the Front Page and post deals in forums
  • Using the basic forum editing interface tools

What We're Looking For:

Required Experience

  • Must have access to a computer with a mouse and a headset
  • Love for online shopping, understanding consumer behavior, and deal gymnastics (how to achieve the deal price)
  • Awareness of social commerce, popular trends, products, and brands
  • Ability to articulate in the Slickdeals voice to the community what the deal is and what its attributes are
  • Extremely reliable and responsive
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, often juggling multiple assignments at one time
  • Proven ability to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Able to work graveyard shift which will include holidays and weekends

Preferred Experience:

  • An active Slickdeals member in good standing for a minimum of 6 months or longer
  • Track record of posting deals members love
  • Ecommerce deal content writing and/or merchandising experience

The expected hourly rate for this role is $20 an hour.
