Provide strategic direction and vision for the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate. Collaborate with other NASA departments to ensure alignment of goals and objectives. Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of projects within the mission directorate. Identify and assess new technologies and techniques to enhance exploration capabilities. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Manage and mentor a team of engineers and project managers. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the mission directorate. Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
