Design Manager for Metro Rail experience must (Delhi)

Candidate must have 5-7 years experience in Metro Rail Project as Telecom Design Eng/Mgr We are currently looking for a Design Manager – Telecom for our Surat Metro Project . Based on your background, we wanted to check your interest in exploring this opportunity. The role involves telecommunication design and engineering for railway/metro projects , with responsibility for team management, design planning, and delivery of telecom systems such as Radio (TETRA/LTE/Wi-Fi), OFC & backbone networks, CCTV, PIDS/PAS, SCADA, power supply systems, and other associated subsystems. Please find the detailed job description below for your reference. The role requires Telecommunication Design, becoming involved in design at an early stage and Manage the team engineers. The ability to manage the team, Guide, plan and design deliverables against tender requirements and standards for each stage of a project is a pre-requisite along with training and guidance wherever necessary. Key Responsibilities • Have an experience of working in Railways Environment • Prepare monthly progress reports and quarterly progress reports in a form agreed upon by Client and shall highlight the slippage of any activity and propose catch-up programme for the same to adhere the proposed Design schedule. • Have an experience of 9 to 15 years in various technologies and in depth knowledge of the Telecommunication systems o Radio System (TETRA, LTE and Wi-Fi), • The Train Radio System conforms to all the relevant and current ITU-R, ITU-T, ETSI and UIC Recommendations. • Responsible for the implementation and engineering of radio SW along the whole project (and product) lifetime in time of Broadband Radio Systems • Responsible for SW maintenance of the dedicated radio products and solutions • Leading SW engineering and adaptation for new HW platforms in close collaboration with product management • Based on the customer requirements elaborate use- and business cases as well as system specifications as part of the SW architecture • Support project by provision, test and integration of SW packages. • Familiar with related telecommunication standards as well railway related standards (EN 50128, if applicable), telecommunication and preferably railway design engineering methodologies o Fibre Optic Cable, Backbone System • Understanding standards, specification of Optical Fiber Cable and Design • Architecture of Network includes L3 and L2 switches, standards, and hands on experience on designing different type of networks. • Knowledge of Implementation of networking technologies like VLAN, VRF, Routing and Switching. • Understanding of Network protocols/Technologies: VRF, Basics of MPLS, OSPF, MPLS-VPN, Cisco IOS, JunOS, BGP, Internet Peering, VLAN, STP, DNS, DHCP, RIP, ACL, HSRP/VRRP, Flex Connect Local Switching, VTP. • Routing Protocols: RIP, EIGRP, BGP and OSPF. o Telephone system (EPABX & DLT), • Managing business, technology or risk-driven programs and projects across voice products to ensure they meet the firm’s requirements. Products will include Carrier products, IP-PBX, Cloud-PBX, Voicemail, SBC. • Design deployment models standards, upgrade procedures and monitoring procedures for voice platforms. • Interface with global team members to provide consistent product offerings. • Perform engineering / design reviews. • Document the design, architecture, monitoring and support aspects of the supported platforms. o PIDS PAS system • To provide system design resource for telecoms related projects notably Public Address systems and Passenger Information Display System • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the Construction, Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality plans. • Customer facing and Office work to ensure technical elements of bids, are understood, developed and completed in a solution, within specified timescales, to budget, in accordance with Telent QSE procedures • Value engineer designs and check for buildability and advise improvements • Root Cause Analysis to ensure satisfactory closure Report to the end customers. o CCTV • Design, Planning, Execution for CCTV Systems includes network architecture, Equipment understanding. • BOM preparation, cost estimation as per end customer requirement • Post implementation service support to the end customer. • To be updated on latest industry development, new products and technologies.
