Summary of Role:

M-Files is seeking an influential and visionary Director, Document Management & AI Strategy to elevate our brand presence globally, with a strong focus on North America. This highly visible role serves as a public ambassador for M-Files, shaping the industry conversation around context-first document management, enterprise content management (ECM), and AI & agentic workflows. Microsoft ecosystem a plus.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Representing M-Files globally as a thought leader in document management, ECM, and AI & agentic workflows with the goal of shaping industry discourse and future direction.
  • Activating and championing the strategic market narrative that establishes M-Files as the leading global innovator in document management and content AI.
  • Developing, owning and executing the company's global thought leadership strategy that includes proprietary frameworks, maturity models, executive-level insights and video content that elevate brand authority.
  • Serving as the executive spokesperson for M-Files at key industry events, and forums like conferences, webinars, partner, and customer events, delivering strategic narratives that engage C-level and senior decision-makers.
  • Leading executive briefings and strategic transformation discussions for complex enterprise opportunities in partnership with sales and product marketing.
  • Acting as a primary strategic spokesperson for analysts and key media, shaping external perception of market trends and M-Files' role in category evolution.
  • Providing strategic guidance to product, marketing, and sales leadership to ensure alignment with emerging industry and ecosystem trends.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven expertise in document management, ECM, and AI/agents, with a strong understanding of enterprise buyer needs.
  • Demonstrated success in shaping market narratives and influencing analyst, partner, and customer perceptions through thought leadership.
  • Strong public speaking and storytelling skills, with experience presenting at industry events, executive briefings, and partner forums.
  • Ability to articulate complex topics in a simple and compelling way.
  • Experience collaborating across product, marketing, and sales teams to align messaging and strategy with market trends.
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action and comfort operating in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
