The Director of Engineering, Platform, role will define engineering roadmaps for the Platform teams which include Analytics & Reporting, Unified Data engine, Shared Services and Internal & External APIs. Reporting to AVP of Engineering, the Director will build and mentor a high-performing team, and drive important Platform initiatives for 2026 and beyond. • Operationalize the engineering strategy by building shared services, integration frameworks, and data models that support the entire product suite. • Oversee the transition toward cloud-native, scalable, and modular systems to improve delivery speed. • Ensure the successful deployment of essential platform features, including unified login, centralized administration, and AI enablement. • Implement clear standards for development, testing, and security while championing automation and DevOps best practices. Collaborate closely with Product and Operations managers to ensure technology investments directly support customer outcomes and company goals. • Build and mentor AI-first high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning through direct mentorship. • Utilize measurable metrics to track and improve engineering velocity, system uptime, and overall quality. • Lead tactical initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve reliability without sacrificing innovation. • You excel at the intersection of technology and business, with a knack for turning complex goals into actionable plans. • A strong communicator, with an aptitude for translating technical challenges for non-technical stakeholders and aligning priorities across different departments. • You are dedicated to building trust and technical excellence within your teams, focusing on scaling talent in a distributed environment. • You are motivated by the challenge of scaling a complex SaaS platform that provides vital services to millions of public sector employees.
