Evaluate programs and facilities for compliance with environmental laws, rules, and regulations. Recommends monitoring and enforcement/corrective actions.</span> <br>Depends on Qualifications-Starting minimum salary-$58,547.00,<br><p><br></p><em><strong>All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.</strong></em><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;">1. Plans and coordinates environmental health programs for the assigned area.   </span><br><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;">2. Provides technical assistance, regulatory interpretation of environmental health laws, training and advocacy to the public, associates, and regulated community. </span><br><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;">  3. Plans and conducts inspections and audits of assigned facilities/sites for compliance with applicable health codes. </span><br><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"> 4. Reviews and/or prepares applications, permits and reports of a highly technical nature.  </span><br><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"> 5. Initiates, negotiates, and implements public health enforcement actions as appropriate. </span><br><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;">  6. Conducts health related complaint or injury investigations as necessary.  </span><br><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"> 7.
