Find out how Siemens Grid Software is decoding the future of energy and what part you can play: We are looking for an Energy Consulting Project Manager to deliver valuable solutions to utilities, investors, project developers and other energy industry clients. We seek someone with a technical background who has experience in project management and business development in the areas of electrification of energy end-uses, transaction advisory, energy market analyses, and procurement in power. Transform the everyday with us! This is a remote position based in the Contiguous U.S., Puerto Rico, or the U.S Virgin Islands. You’ll make an impact as you: • Drive projects for consulting and advisory engagements, leading project teams, ensuring quality, and profitability, managing budget and results, and nurturing the relationship with the client. • Engage in strategic growth efforts by contacting clients, building professional relationships, developing value propositions, and preparing Scope of Work and budgets. • Advise clients engaging in transactions of energy assets, such as procurement of energy, ancillary services, clean energy certificates, fossil fuels, and other products—as well as providing due diligence services. • Provide support to clients deploying e-mobility solutions and other technologies for decarbonization of end energy uses, including electrification of heating and deployment of alternative fuels. • Advise clients on regulatory and policy issues, ranging from support to utilities engaged in rate cases to guidance for government agencies rolling out energy sector decarbonization policies. • Deliver consulting services in energy markets, including forecasts of wholesale electricity prices and other market variables, and their use in assets valuation and identification of investment opportunities. • Prepare detailed written reports and compelling presentations describing analyses, conclusions, and recommendations. • Mentor staff members both during project execution and on an ongoing basis in your area of expertise. You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, statistics, physics, or mathematics with strong quantitative analysis capabilities • 3+ years of proven experience in energy consulting with demonstrated success in both project delivery and business development (seller-doer model-not construction, IT, or infrastructure project management) • Track record of leading complex analytical projects in electrical utility sector, including electrification strategies, transaction advisory, procurement optimization, wholesale power markets, and/or regulatory analysis • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with ability to translate complex technical analyses into compelling client narratives • Willingness to travel up to 25% while leveraging our remote-first work environment Preferred qualifications: • Experience in business development for energy consulting services. • Experience in electricity production arenaflex modeling (e.g. Aurora) • Experience leading teams of technical experts in the energy field.
