What is the role? Michaels Energy is seeking a sales professional with experience working with utility programs. The Energy Efficiency Outreach Specialist will interact with facility managers and business owners for energy efficiency programs in Virginia. This role focuses on building relationships and driving participation by prospecting and recruiting commercial and industrial customers into a broad suite of energy efficiency programs, including data centers, compressed air, building automation, and customer engagement efforts. This position is the main point of contact for customers and will facilitate their efficiency program journey from start to finish. We are looking for someone with strong outreach and communication skills and who has a passion for energy efficiency and will exemplify our core values. Customer Management • Create and execute a sales plan for the program • Identify and engage the arenaflex market for participation in energy efficiency programs • Enroll customers to meet program goals • Act as the customer’s point of contact for all projects • Network and partner with service providers, utility representatives, account managers, key industry contacts, national accounts, and end-users • Promotes utility rebate programs to customers • Assists with project planning • Collaborates with subject matter experts to identify energy efficiency opportunities • Lead presentations to educate customers on the program Project Management • Communicate and coordinate project activities with utility representatives, end-users, and other stakeholders • Maintain a pipeline of customers • Manage project progress to a deadline • Promptly address client concerns to assure problem resolution and promote long-term productive relationships.
