Job Overview This exciting opportunity is part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to payment processing, item processing, direct bills, and budget transfers. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of our financial systems, and your excellent communication skills will provide top-notch support to our members. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing Work member cases/sports assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring efficient and secure payment processing Complete daily balancing and department closing, maintaining accurate records and reports Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests Research and confirm incoming and outgoing budget transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations Communicate with vendors to process budget transfers, providing excellent customer service and support Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments Deposit check returns, research member back checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Previous customer/member service experience, with a focus on providing exceptional support and resolution Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of financial systems and regulations Episys/Symitar and processing wires, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need: Strong arenaflex Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs, with a flexible and adaptable approach Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide top-notch support and resolution Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple responsibilities and deadlines Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department, with a flexible and adaptable approach Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and members, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, with a strong sense of initiative and motivation Ability to self-motivate, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
