Field Apprenticeship Program Specialist (Remote)

Overview:

Responsible for assisting in developing, implementing, and supporting registered apprenticeship programs. This position will provide daily support for program-related activities, including record keeping, logistics, and data analysis. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Apprenticeships to implement effective training cohorts, IRA compliance, increase retention, and promote continuous improvement
 

Location and Travel: 

This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position supports our business across the United States. This position does require 25% travel throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilize data to enhance training needs
  • Build trust and work collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization
  • Perform apprenticeship daily operations and program management processes, including general program administration, data tracking, record keeping, and reporting
  • Ensure apprentices are progressing in the program by tracking On-the-Job Training in our system (ApprentiScope)
  • Track and maintain apprentice incentive to ensure timely payments and answer questions for apprentices
  • Attend and/or assist in-person training courses with instructors
  • Collaborate with program management to ensure compliance with DoL, IRA, and NCCER and company standards
  • Work with recruiters to conduct outreach and recruitment strategies for future apprentices to build a network of apprentices to support apprenticeship opportunities
  • Serve as an NCCER secondary representative and administrator
  • Manage the movement of Apprentices between job sites to ensure proper staffing ratios are maintained
  • Notify Recruitment on apprenticeship movement between job sites to ensure smooth transfer process and all onboarding requirements are met
  • Coordinate apprenticeship trainings including: send and confirm attendees, confirm room availability, order supplies and food, organize group activities, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Management System (LMS) team to track Related Training Instruction (RTI) completions
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Experience in training and development
  • Experience with apprenticeships preferred
  • NCCER experience/certifications preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead and facilitate performance consulting discussions and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills, adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms, and methods
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives effectively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software, PowerBI, and data analysis gathering
  • Adaptable, creative problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset

Working Environment:

  • When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
