Fleet Assistant

<strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ensure the optimal mechanical operation of service vehicles through routine inspections, servicing and preventive maintenance of vehicles and troubleshoot problems when required.</li><li>Update the Fleet Management System with vehicle details, allocations and returned vehicle details as appropriate.</li><li>Keep records of who is using which vehicle and when by monitoring and directing daily distributions of vehicles as per transport policy.</li><li>Prepare documentation to assist Fleet Administrator in vehicle licensing, inspections and registrations.</li><li>Maintain physical appearance of site by keeping clean vehicles and garage area.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Education<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school diploma<br><br></li></ul>The educational program must be from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.<br><br>If you completed a program outside of Canada, you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense through a recognized credential assessment service.<br><br>Note: Any higher level of education could be recognized as experience.<br><br><strong>Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>A minimum of three (3) years of experience in driving motor vehicles (in various weather conditions) with a valid and permanent Canadian driver’s license</li><li>Experience in data entry and scheduling appointments </li><li>Experience in working with managers and employees at all levels</li><li>Experience in providing client services<br><br></li></ul><strong>Assets<br><br></strong><ul><li>Knowledge of mechanical or vehicle maintenance</li><li>Knowledge of building maintenance</li><li>Knowledge with Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook<br><br></li></ul>Assets: An asset qualification is a qualification which can enhance the ability to perform the work based on current and future business requirements, but which is not strictly required.
