Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue is a small but mighty Colorado nonprofit with a storied history, saving over 1,200 animals each year. We are seeking a Foster Coordinator who is passionate, disciplined, and ready to be part of a mission-driven team working directly with animals, fosters, volunteers, adopters, and staff.

Position Overview

This is a minimum 40-hour per week position with a hybrid schedule:

  • In-person 3–4 days per week, including adoption days in Northglenn and Denver
  • 1–2 days remote (work-from-home experience required)
  • Saturdays every week are mandatory and non-negotiable
  • Hours vary; flexibility is essential

This position must be your only job. Passion is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support foster homes and rescue operations
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong follow-through
  • Cold calling and relationship building with fosters, adopters, and partners having a background in sales is fabulous!
  • Daily social media posting and weekly email communications
  • Maintain accurate records using Google Sheets and rescue software
  • Conduct phone calls, emails, Zoom meetings, and in-person coordination
  • Assist with loading/unloading kennels, dogs, and equipment during transports and adoption events
  • Maintain a mobile office while working alongside the team at adoption locations
  • Support team building and communication across the organization
  • Be available after 6:00 pm when emergencies or time-sensitive needs arise

Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Excellent phone, email, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable with cold calling and managing people
  • Consistent, reliable, and solutions-oriented with a positive can-do attitude
  • Proficient with Google Sheets, Zoom, and general computer systems
  • Social media skills required (daily posting expected)
  • Animal experience required; rescue or shelter experience is a major plus
  • Clean driving record and reliable access to a vehicle
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs, stand, bend, and assist with physical tasks
  • Comfortable working closely with dogs and puppies of all sizes and temperaments
