We deliver high-impact consulting, implementation, and enablement services across the customer journey, supporting some of the world’s most complex organizations.</p><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>The Head of Advisory Services – AMER is accountable for the end-to-end management and growth of the Advisory Services practice across the Americas. This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering high-quality services aligned to customer outcomes, building and developing a high-performing team, and driving commercial success through effective sales and operational management.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><p><strong>Practice Leadership:</strong> Own the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of Advisory Services in the AMER region, ensuring alignment with global objectives and customer needs.</p></li><li><p><strong>Team Management:</strong> Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and senior consultants, fostering a culture of high performance, talent development, and career growth.</p></li><li><p><strong>Customer Success:</strong> Ensure services are delivered at a high quality, driving measurable customer outcomes, adoption, and satisfaction.</p></li><li><p><strong>Sales & Growth:</strong> Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Customer Success to build a robust pipeline, drive bookings, and expand Advisory Services with new and existing customers.</p></li><li><p><strong>P&L Accountability:</strong> Manage the regional P&L, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, and achievement of financial targets.</p></li><li><p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:</strong> Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive sponsors, partners, and cross-functional teams.</p></li><li><p><strong>Operational Excellence:</strong> Oversee resource planning, utilization, and delivery processes to ensure scalability and consistency.</p></li><li><p><strong>Innovation:</strong> Contribute to the evolution of Advisory Services offerings, methodologies, and best practices based on customer feedback and market trends.</p></li></ul><h3>Success Measures (12 Months)</h3><ul><li><p>A growing pipeline of Advisory Services sold to new and existing customers.</p></li><li><p>A high-performing team delivering on customer and business objectives.</p></li><li><p>Regional P&L meeting or exceeding profitability expectations.</p></li></ul><h3>Top Priorities (First 6-12 Months)</h3><ol><li><p>Build an effective pipeline to meet or exceed sales bookings targets.</p></li><li><p>Develop and retain a high-performing team, ensuring individual and team metrics are met.</p></li><li><p>Deliver high-quality services that drive customer adoption, retention, and satisfaction.</p></li></ol><h3>Skills & Experience</h3><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul><li><p>10-15+ years in advisory/professional services, including experience as a practice leader or head of professional services.</p></li><li><p>Proven track record managing large, distributed teams and developing leaders (“leader of leaders”).</p></li><li><p>Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L management, sales forecasting, and driving growth.</p></li><li><p>Deep understanding of enterprise customer needs, consulting delivery, and change management.</p></li><li><p>Excellent people management, talent development, and stakeholder engagement skills.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience with Atlassian products or similar SaaS/enterprise platforms.</p></li><li><p>Background in professional services, customer success, or portfolio leadership.</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment.</p></li></ul><p></p> <br>Qualifications<br><br><p data-compensation="true"><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p>At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones.
