Role Overview The Training & Compliance Administrator Consultant is an entry- to mid-level consulting role responsible for supporting utility clients who subscribe to FOCUS Learning’s Training Administration and PER-005 Compliance service bundles. Serving as the Qlarity technical account manager, the Training & Compliance Administrator Consultant provides day-to-day assistance with training program administration, documentation, and compliance activities, ensuring clients receive timely, accurate, and professional support. This position requires proficiency in the Qlarity training and compliance management software (training provided), a working understanding of NERC PER-005 and related reliability standards, and strong organizational and communication skills. The Training & Compliance Administrator Consultant serves as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and plays a key role in helping them maintain compliant and effective training programs as well as operationalize the Qlarity software product. Key Responsibilities Client Support & Account Management • Serve as the primary support contact for assigned utility clients. • Respond to client inquiries and assist with training program needs. • Participate in regular client check-ins, status meetings, and planning sessions. • Provide guidance on training workflows, documentation requirements, and compliance expectations. • Establish and sustain long-term, positive, professional relationships with client training, operations, and compliance personnel. Qlarity System Administration • Maintain and update client training records, task lists, On-the-Job Training (OJT) Guides, and program training maps within the Qlarity platform. • Enter task qualifications records, course rosters, grades, and evaluation data. • Generate reports and assist clients in tracking training completion and compliance status. • Support clients in navigating Qlarity features and workflows. Training Program Administration • Assist with scheduling training activities and issuing notifications. • Maintain electronic training files, documentation, and evidence records. • Upload training completion records to System Operator Certification and Continuing Education (SOCCED) database, and reconcile training records with SOCCED as needed. • Support development and maintenance of Individual Development Plans (IDPs). • Help compile and prepare quarterly and annual training program review materials. Compliance Support • Apply working knowledge of NERC PER-005 and related standards to support client training documentation. • Assist clients in preparing evidence for audits, arenaflex checks, and internal reviews. • Ensure training records and documentation meet regulatory expectations. Process Improvement & Internal Collaboration • Identify opportunities to improve client workflows and recommend enhancements. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve system issues or support client requests. • Participate in internal training to maintain proficiency in Qlarity and regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., business, education, engineering, information systems) or equivalent experience. • 1–3 years of experience in training administration, compliance support, utility operations, or a related field. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency with software systems and comfort learning new platforms. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in the electric utility industry or familiarity with system operations. • Working knowledge of NERC PER-005 or other reliability standards. • Experience with training management systems or LMS platforms. • Exposure to Job Task Analysis (JTA) or the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT/ADDIE). • Prior client-facing or consulting experience. Work Environment & Travel • Remote work environment with regular virtual meetings. • Periodic travel to client sites for onsite support or training sessions (typically 10–20%).
