Job Title: Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant Location: Remote (Travel needed once in a month NY) Type: Contract-W2 , Long Term Position Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant to support a full end-to-end migration from a legacy ERP system to Oracle Cloud ERP Financials .This is a high-visibility role working directly with the CFO, Controller, and senior Finance leadership . The consultant will act as the primary liaison between the Client's Finance organization and the System Integrator (SI), ensuring alignment, clarity, and successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across all major Oracle Cloud Financial modules, capable of leading workshops, advising the business, guiding technical teams, and coordinating complex migration activities including data conversion, CRP/UAT testing, integrations, and cutover planning. Key Responsibilities Client & Leadership Engagement • Represent the client's Finance organization in all interactions with the System Integrator. • Work directly with the CFO, Controller, VP of Finance , and senior Finance teams. • Provide clear communication, status updates, and guidance to upper management. • Act as the functional liaison between Business, SI, Technical, and QA teams. Functional Leadership & Oracle Expertise • Serve as an SME across Oracle Cloud Financials modules including: GL, AP, AR, FA, CE, Expenses, Cash Management, Subledger Accounting , and external Tax Engine integrations . • Conduct discovery sessions , gather requirements, and perform business process analysis. • Lead and facilitate CRP, UAT, and SIT phases, including planning, script creation, execution oversight, and defect management. • Recommend and design functional solutions, configurations, and best practices. Project Execution & Delivery • Support and guide the System Integrator on functional decisions and solution design. • Review SI deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business needs. • Assist end users during Conference Room Pilots (CRP) , user testing cycles, and validation activities. • Lead production cutover planning , including readiness checklists and post-go-live support. Data Conversion Leadership • Lead data conversion strategy and execution for all Oracle Financial modules. • Perform assessment of legacy data to determine what needs to be migrated. • Work with technical teams to configure FBDI templates, validate data loads, and coordinate reconciliation activities. • Mentor developers and QA teams on conversion, integration design, and custom reporting requirements. Integrations & Reporting • Support design and validation of integrations with third-party tax engines, banks, and external systems . • Provide functional requirements for custom reports, dashboards, and reconciliation extracts (OTBI, BI Publisher). • Partner with technical developers to design and test integrations using OIC, Web Services, and Financials APIs. Required Skills & Experience • 8 12+ years of Oracle Financials experience. • Minimum 3 full lifecycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations . • Strong hands-on configuration experience: GL, AP, AR, FA, CE, Expenses, and Tax engine integrations. • Must have a solid accounting knowledge (GL, Journals, P&L, BalanceSheet and EPM) and any background of CPA, accountant will be a great plus • Deep understanding of subledger accounting, period close, and financial reporting . • Strong experience leading CRP, SIT, UAT , and production cutover activities. • Proven ability to work with C-suite finance leaders and communicate clearly. • Experience delivering in large, complex enterprise environments. • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
