Intermediate Business Sys Analyst/Project Manager - Payments Portfolio

About the position

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project portfolio and partner with leadership to deliver payment solutions and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IT Delivery Managers, Senior IT Managers, and Directors to scope, plan, and oversee the execution of projects and programs.
  • Support project leaders in refining plans and managing scope, budget, and timelines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously assess and communicate project status, schedule, and budget to enable informed decision-making and accurate reporting.
  • Provide tailored guidance and support to project leaders at all experience levels, adapting to the complexity of each initiative.
  • Manage program-level budgets and effort tracking for large, multi-dimensional initiatives with precision and transparency.
  • Administer vendor engagement processes for IT projects, including setup, cost tracking, status updates, invoicing, and closure.
  • Ensure compliance with essential delivery processes such as information protection, procurement, access management, and contracting.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, escalate concerns, offer solutions, and implement corrective actions to safeguard project outcomes.
  • Champion the use of Microsoft SharePoint for team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships across IT teams, support functions, business stakeholders, and vendor partners.
  • Develop efficient strategies for maintaining task-level data to support project and portfolio performance tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Science, Communications or other analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the IT Industry in an analytical role, with responsibility for planning and executing projects.
  • 3+ years of business systems analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of systems development and project management methodologies; and how they are employed to successfully deliver.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with peers, managers, customers, and vendor partners.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Competent determining priority and managing time and quality in the execution of multiple concurrent projects and assignments.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years' experience in the IT Industry in an analytical role, with responsibility for planning and executing projects.
  • Experience leveraging software tools designed to plan, execute, and monitor IT portfolios and projects, e.g., Clarity/Open Workbench, Microsoft Project / Project Server.
  • Experience with financial management including project budgets and temporary services across multiple projects, QDP financial tracking, OCP financial tracking.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and Azure Dev Ops.
  • Knowledge of EFT Payment processing.
  • Knowledge of PCI rules and regulations.
  • Experience and knowledge of problem management, change management, and other Publix Technology processes.
