Investment Performance Analyst | Boston-Based Asset Manager

An established Boston-based investment manager is expanding its Enterprise Data & Analytics team and is seeking a Performance & Portfolio Data Associate. The role provides hands-on exposure to investment performance, portfolio analytics, and firmwide reporting initiatives within a collaborative, high-quality investment environment. The Role This position supports investment, sales, and client service teams through portfolio analysis, performance reporting, and data-driven insights. The associate will work closely with experienced analytics professionals and contribute to initiatives focused on reporting accuracy, attribution analysis, and data quality. What You’ll Do • Analyze client and prospective portfolios and compare results against proposed investment strategies • Prepare asset allocation, income, and portfolio characteristic analysis to support sales and client teams • Use tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, and Morningstar to classify holdings and validate performance data • Support performance reporting, attribution analysis, and responses to RFP/RFI and client inquiries • Assist with GIPS-related reviews and contribute to cross-team analytics and data initiatives What We’re Looking For • Education in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field • Experience in investment performance, portfolio analytics, client reporting, or a related investment role • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial and investment data • Experience with investment analytics platforms (FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar, eVestment, Eagle, or similar) • Familiarity with performance attribution concepts; GIPS exposure is a plus • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment This role is well-suited for an early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in investment analytics and performance within an asset management platform.
