IT Solution Architect - Digital - Remote working

An IT Solution Architect with strong Digital innovation, public cloud, prototyping, proof of concept, and new digital product development experience is required by a leading global finance and business consultancy based in central London.

This role can be mostly remote, with the expectation to be in the office a couple of times a month

As the Solution Architect, you will lead the design and technical delivery of prototypes and digital products within agile squads.

Technical Stack & Experience

  • Solution architecture experience, technical architect also suitable, but must be able to build prototypes from business requirements (Need somebody who can build quality, secure, compliant digital products)
  • Prototyping, Proof of concept and creative solution experience is a must
  • Cloud platform experience mandatory (Azure preferred, AWS/Google Cloud acceptable)
  • Agile experience
  • Senior/lead developers considered that showing architectural understanding and genuine motivation to move into this field would be considered
  • Familiarity with architecture and design frameworks (Agile, C4, UML, TOGAF etc).
  • Working on Software solutions with a technical stack around C# .NET, Python, SQL, APIs, Azure, Power Platform and SaaS/PaaS
  • AI/ML experience:
    • Not required, but significant differentiator
    • Must demonstrate understanding of AI principles and risks
    • Generative AI is heavily used in prototyping
  • Experience of taking new business ideas and products to production
  • Any experience working in a regulatory environment would be a bonus, but not essential

You will get ideas from their business stream about innovation opportunities and turn these into new digital products the business can use. It is all about working with people to understand their problems and then proposing technical solutions

Role Overview

The role focuses on designing, planning, and delivering modern, cloud-focused digital solutions. You shall transform business problems into technical proposals and solutions that align with the enterprise architecture and cloud-first strategy

Key responsibilities are split into phases:


  • Prototyping (30%) - Requirements gathering, technical solutions, proof of concepts
  • Production builds (30%) - Full product development with agile squads
  • Product lifecycle management (40%) - Consulting on live products, iterations

    • Essential skills beyond technical architecture:
      • Strong communication and soft skills for business stakeholder engagement
      • Creative problem-solving and requirements challenging
      • Experience articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
      • Regulated environment experience helpful but not required
    • And another part of the role is consulting with the teams that are keeping these live products to make sure that they can get support for any changes and maybe doing big changes to some of these products.

    If you are the kind of Architect that loves prototyping, is involved with talking to people in the business's and coming up with creative solutions to business problems then this is the role for you. You will be doing designs with a development team to build those prototypes and proof of concepts, and be able to see your solutions come to life within the business

    This role is paying between £80,000 - £85,000 + Private Medical + Excellent Pension + Mostly Remote working
