Looking for a GCP Cloud Security Engineer // Fully Remote - Artech Information Systems - Temple Terrace, FL - work from home job Company: Artech Information Systems Job description: Job Description Job Title: GCP Cloud Security Engineer Locations: Fully remote Duration: 6 months Client: Telecom Pay range: $70 - $75/hr W2 Overview We’re expanding our Cloud Security organization and are looking for candidates with cloud security experience and willingness to build their security skills in the exciting field of cloud computing. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will support the business in enabling and securing cloud-based technologies and solutions, partner collaboratively across teams providing technical guidance to understand, mitigate and or verify risks, innovate/manage security solutions, with the objective to improve security posture across platforms. In this role you will gain valuable experience and insight in protecting multiple cloud environments and will be at the heart of guarding our data and applications against advanced threat adversaries. We are seeking candidates with a passion and excitement for cloud security and the willingness to learn in a fast-paced dynamic environment that can act as GCP Cloud Security Engineer. What you’ll be doing: • Hands-on experience with GCP Security Command Center or other CSPM tools • Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks • Design, test, and build security automation and tooling to promote security hygiene • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams to educate and reduce risks • Manage cloud security solutions promoting automation. • Drive mitigation of reported risks from continuous monitoring solutions • Partner with enterprise teams to establish preventative controls to support security needs via automation. • Ability to self-learn new technologies with security mindset • Integrating services via published APIs using a variety of programming platforms • Daily administrative tasks, reporting and communication with the relevant departments in the organization • Owning the ongoing design, implementation, and management of the GCP environment, testing, and implementation of new services as they become available in the GCP environment. • Collaborating with Security, Governance, Cloud engineering groups, and development teams to implement solutions across various lines of business. • Design and automate security & governance framework across our GCP environments using Python, bolthires Cloud SDKs, Unix Shell and other scripting languages Must have: - Bachelor’s Degree - Four or more years of relevant work experience. - Two or more years of experience working on GCP. Even better if you have one or more of the following: - Four or more years in cloud operations, development, security, compliance etc. - Demonstrable understanding of Cloud Platform technologies and their usage, specifically GCP and also preferably AWS and/or Azure - Solid experience of cloud security, risk analysis and implementation of best practices not limited to 'Security, Identity & Compliance', 'Management Tools', ‘Networking’ and ‘Compute & Storage’ - Hands-on development using Python and APIs - SecDevOps – experience integrating security into pipelines & solutions (Jenkins, Gitlab, etc) to runtime. - Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills - Creating innovative solutions to meet our company’s technical security needs - Develop company-wide best practices for IT security - Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management - Hands-on experience with GCP SCC or other CSPM tools - GCP Associate Cloud Engineer Certification Expected salary: $70 - 75 per hour Location: Temple Terrace, FL Job date: Fri, 25 Aug 2023 07:02:10 GMT Apply for the job now!
