Lorry Driver

The Tipper Lorry Driver is responsible for transporting construction materials such as sand, gravel, soil, aggregates, and debris safely and efficiently to and from construction sites. The role ensures timely delivery while maintaining vehicle safety, compliance, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Operation

  • Operate tipper lorry safely to transport materials.
  • Load and unload materials using tipping mechanism.
  • Ensure proper weight distribution and secure loads.

2. Delivery & Site Coordination

  • Deliver materials to construction sites as per schedule.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and dispatch team.
  • Follow designated routes and delivery instructions.

3. Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspection (brakes, tires, lights, oil, fuel).
  • Report mechanical issues or damages immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of vehicle.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with weight limits and road regulations.
  • Use PPE (helmet, safety vest, boots) at construction sites.

5. Documentation

  • Maintain delivery notes and trip records.
  • Record fuel consumption and mileage logs.
  • Obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (as per country regulations).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience driving tipper trucks.
  • Good knowledge of local routes and road safety regulations.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
