A role with the Pricing & Promotion Center of Excellence (PPCOE) means you’re on a mission with merchants to develop enterprise-wide pricing and promotion strategies. Your work will impact millions of dollars in the form of everyday retail prices, promotional strategy and effectiveness, clearance management and competitive pricing. Here, you’ll be a key business consultant to merchants and develop relationships with buyers, senior buyers and leaders. Your strong partnership with Marketing will bring offers to life for guests, and you’ll also work closely with Store Operations, Finance and other key support areas. As a Loyalty Promo Planner for the PPCOE team, you will play a key role in growing our Circle loyalty program and driving promotional sales for Target. You will work closely with partner teams to create seamless promotional plans inclusive of targeted and mass loyalty discounts, personalized content, early access Circle offers, and Circle event promotions to deliver our goals in growing both loyalty membership and promo guest count.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise promotional objectives through targeted and mass loyalty offers, ensuring plans are connected to quarterly promotional roadmap including key seasonal weeks, key events and guest drive times.
  • Collaborate with pyramid PPCOE teams to ensure that individual division plans for targeted and mass loyalty offers ladder up to, and support, the total enterprise strategy, ensuring efficient investment and consideration of guest experience.
  • Partner with several cross-functional teams acting as a bridge to ensure alignment, communication, and effective activation planning are in support of total promotional goals.
  • Monitor results, recap and communicate to key stakeholders performance of targeted and mass loyalty offers and the impact within total promotional performance at the week, month and quarterly level.
  • Maintain daily interaction with key stakeholders to manage, support activation and trouble shoot as needed for targeted and mass loyalty offers
  • Report and develop quarterly and weekly action plans on KPI results for loyalty discounts, partnering with PPCOE to inform and support pyramid promo goals.
  • Aggressively prioritize the efforts of guest engagement strategy creation, testing, insights, and guest learnings to ensure the opportunities with the highest potential are always making progress.
  • Analyze root cause using both internal and external reporting tools and drive strategy adjustments as required.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships through regular collaboration with Loyalty Strategy, PPCOE Strategy, Marketing, Digital and Finance teams.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years related work experience (merchant, vendor, shopper marketing)
  • A master collaborator who is able to inspire trust and confidence with a range of partners
  • Management of financial performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-Starter, ability to work independently, strong initiative
