Title: Manager III, Ops Engineering - AMZ3815.19 Location: Seattle United States Job Description: Description Employer: Amazon.com Services LLC Position: Manager III, Ops Engineering (multiple positions available) Location: Seattle, Washington Multiple Positions Available: Work with key business and engineering stakeholders to define the vision, strategy, and business roadmap for facility design and automation. Apply professional and technical expertise in engineering to lead, plan, organize and coordinate the activities of a multidisciplinary design team during requirement definition, concept, detail design, and implementation phases of facility design projects to improve measures associated with capacity, cost, quality, service, safety, and people. Coordinate and lead all aspects of change management including stakeholder engagement, consensus building, transition planning, monitoring & control related to new facility and equipment planning. Provide technical skills and expertise to develop, model, simulate, optimize, design, and install sortation systems and processes. Oversee the collection of data required for various projects and conducts studies or analyses using this data. Use proven simulation and project management tools in the analysis of business solutions and provides comprehensive reports and recommendations. Provide engineering expertise in the use of proper technology to assess space requirements, work methods and health and safety solutions. Use proven financial evaluation methods and data-based engineering analyses to properly evaluate project feasibility, risks, and benefits. Participate in cost reduction efforts by analyzing proposals to determine viability, operations impact and return on investment. Lead and manage a team of 6-8 operations engineers.
