In this job, you'll lead critical data remediation and integrity initiatives for our Transmission and Distribution assets. You'll also leverage your advanced technical expertise to perform detailed desktop analysis, validate and correct high priority asset data, and ensure master data accuracy within source systems (such as SAP). You will serve as a mentor providing guidance to peers, driving process improvements, and collaborating with internal and external partners to resolve systemic data issues. This position plays a critical role in maintaining data quality standards, strengthening system reliability, and contributing to SCE's mission to build a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. Responsibilities • Performs in-depth analyses, approves, develops recommendations, and creates scripts, tools or models where appropriate to enhance data flow and analysis • Leads data remediation efforts including analysis, quality control, and performs or coordinates the asset updates to ensure data is accurate and aligns with actual field conditions • Identifies industry trends and maintains relationships with relevant stakeholders and provides consultative services on an as-needed basis to address complex GIS problems/issues • Designs, develops and implements procedures to improve efficiency of operations and processes associated with mapping standards and GIS tools • Utilizes geospatial software to process, analyze, and model geospatial data to improve processes and data quality • Collaborates with internal/external business partners to evaluate impacts on departmental activities that rely on GIS data or processes • Conducts land, regulatory, and related project searches, including identification of new data sources helping identify industry trends and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders • Produces high-quality map products for presentations, meetings, public usage and departments; creating key business maps and producing ad-hoc or on-off maps • Provide functional direction, guidance, and training to staff members to ensure conformance to departmental standards and procedures • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Requirements • Five or more years of experience in GIS and/or analyzing data. Nice-to-haves • Four or more years of experience and proficiency with arenaflex Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Four or more years of experience working within key systems of record such as SAP, SCEGeoview, ArcGIS, or MDG. • Four or more years of experience and proficiency with navigating and identifying key information within SAP. • Four or more years of experience analyzing data and large data sets from a variety of sources.
