Online Tutors Needed – Novel Reading & Speaking (Group Classes)

Class Type: Group classes (4–6 students) and 1 to 1

SCI is currently hiring experienced Online Tutors to teach Novel Reading / Novel Study and Speaking classes to Intermediate to Advanced English learners. We are looking for engaging instructors who can guide students through novel discussions, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and speaking practice in a structured online classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Teach online group classes (4–6 students) or 1 to 1 classes focusing on novel reading and speaking practice
  • Guide students through novel study discussions, comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking
  • Encourage active student participation and conversation
  • Follow SCI teaching guidelines and curriculum
  • Be open to feedback from SCI administrators and adapt teaching approaches when necessary
  • Conduct classes using ClassIn App and communicate with the team through Microsoft Teams

Requirements

  • English speaker from US and Canada
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years online tutoring experience
  • Experience teaching novel study, literature, or reading classes preferred
  • Proficient in using the ClassIn App (required)
  • Must have Microsoft Teams and include your Teams email on your resume
  • Comfortable teaching Intermediate to Advanced level students
  • Reliable internet connection and professional online teaching setup
