Position Overview:

We welcome expressions of interest from passionate PE educators who are committed to inspiring a love of learning and contributing to the vibrant community at Dubai American Academy, with opportunities available from August 2026.


This is an exciting opportunity for High School Physical Education educators who are dedicated to nurturing curiosity, inspiring achievement, and contributing to the success of every student at DAA.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive PE lessons to students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.

  • Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for PE and foster critical thinking skills.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

  • Ensuring continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.

  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Successful candidates will need:

  • A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree in relevant subject area, plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent specialism in PE.

  • Proven experience teaching High School PE, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school.

  • Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on PE education.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

  • A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
