Job Purpose

We’re hiring a Principal AI Enablement Engineer to speed up AI adoption across Quorum’s 30+product teams. This is a hands-on technical role that embeds directly with teams to implement AI workflows, improve development practices, and establish patterns that scale across the organization.

You sit between platform strategy and product execution. You help teams adopt AI tools, integrate with emerging platform capabilities, and build repeatable workflows for AI-backed features. You’re not here to write every feature. You raise the technical floor by teaching, pairing, and building small but critical examples that teams can extend.

The ideal candidate brings deep engineering experience, strong judgment, and a bias for practical outcomes. You work directly with teams to set up AI development workflows (AI coding tools, prompting patterns, subagents, MCP integrations), remove toil, and guide early AI feature development. Your work helps teams move faster, avoid technical debt, and stay aligned with shared patterns. You reduce friction, improve delivery speed, and connect product teams to the broader AI strategy.

What You Will Do:

  • Embed with product teams to implement AI workflows and establish team-specific development patterns
  • Set up AI development workflows including AI coding tools, prompting patterns, subagents, and MCP integrations
  • Pair with engineers to improve code quality, reduce toil, and introduce AI-driven efficiencies
  • Build small, targeted examples and reference implementations that teams can extend
  • Document repeatable workflows and create clear, practical guidance for product teams
  • Help teams integrate with emerging platform capabilities across the Agentic, ML, and Data platforms
  • Identify cross-team opportunities to standardize patterns and eliminate duplicated effort
  • Maintain the internal knowledge base, onboarding materials, and best practices
  • Run targeted workshops, office hours, and hands-on training aligned with team needs
  • Track adoption progress and surface blockers, risks, and opportunities to AI leadership
  • Provide feedback from product teams to shape platform and tooling roadmaps
  • Ensure AI development follows safe, scalable, and maintainable practices across the org
  • And other duties as assigned.

What to Bring:

  • 5+years of software engineering experience across backend, frontend, or platform engineering
  • Proven ability to embed with teams and deliver hands-on technical improvements
  • Strong understanding of AI developer workflows, including prompting, tool integration, and coding assistants
  • Experience building internal tooling, development workflows, or frameworks for other engineers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for technical documentation and cross-team collaboration
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Proficiency in a modern backend stack (Node.js, Python, C#, Elixir, Java, or similar)
  • Comfortable teaching, pairing, and supporting multiple teams concurrently

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with LLM agent frameworks, MCP integrations, or AI coding tools
  • Background in developer productivity engineering or platform adoption work
  • Familiarity with RAG patterns, semantic search, or vector databases
  • Experience supporting multi-team or enterprise-scale engineering environments
  • Background with chat interfaces, workflow automation, or orchestration systems
  • Understanding of MLOps, data pipelines, or ML model integration patterns
