Process Technician (Automation) — 3rd Shift (11 PM–7 AM, Sunday–Thursday)

Reports To: Production Supervisor
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM (Overtime as needed)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and maintaining equipment functionality. This position requires a strong technical background and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

**This is a temporary position located in the USA and we are actively seeking Puerto Rican candidates. Transportation & Housing are provided by employer after arrival to the USA. Inbound & Outbound travel from Puerto Rico are covered by the employer. American VISA Exchange is handling the recruiting efforts for the employer and is their authorized representative.

Duties

  • Monitor and control production processes to ensure optimal performance and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Document process parameters, production data, and any deviations from standard operating procedures.
  • Train new employees on operational procedures and safety protocols.
  • Assist in the development of process documentation and standard operating procedures.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, adjust, and maintain automated production equipment to ensure consistent quality and output.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues on the production floor.
  • Support setup and changeovers of machines, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to meet product specifications.
  • Record and report process parameters, production data, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance schedules and machine calibrations.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or coursework in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or automation preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or automated production environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automation processes.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, robotics, and pneumatic systems is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Proven commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
