New Product Opportunity Analyst
Remote | Part Time 15 to 20 hours per week

About us

We are a profitable Amazon home and kitchen brand generating over one million dollars in annual revenue with plans to scale significantly over the next two years. We are expanding into multiple new SKUs over the next twelve to twenty four months and are looking for someone to help evaluate which opportunities are worth pursuing.

About the Position

This role focuses on identifying and validating new product opportunities before inventory capital is committed. You will work directly with the founder and play a meaningful role in determining what gets launched and what does not.

This is not a virtual assistant role.
This is not a listing optimization position.
This is not basic keyword scraping or surface level research.

This is a product evaluation role centered around demand validation, margin analysis, risk assessment, and capital efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new product opportunities within the Amazon marketplace

  • Validate keyword demand and assess competitive intensity

  • Analyze review velocity, pricing structure, and saturation risk

  • Build contribution margin and ROI models in Excel or Google Sheets

  • Calculate break even ACOS and realistic TACOS assumptions

  • Model landed cost scenarios and inventory capital requirements

  • Stress test projections using conservative assumptions

  • Maintain a structured product pipeline and opportunity tracker

Qualifications

  • Strong financial modeling skills

  • Experience evaluating Amazon product opportunities

  • Clear understanding of contribution margin and unit economics

  • Ability to interpret keyword data in a commercial context

  • Comfortable defending assumptions with data

  • Detail oriented and analytically rigorous

  • Ability to clearly document assumptions and present structured recommendations

Preferred Experience

  • Two or more years working with Amazon FBA brands

  • Experience contributing to product launches

  • Familiarity with tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Keepa, or similar platforms

Compensation

  • Monthly retainer of 2500 to 4000 dollars dependent on experience and scope

  • Performance based bonus tied to new product profitability

This is a high visibility role with direct founder collaboration. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks critically, and understands that strong product decisions drive long term growth.
