[Remote] Child Welfare/Healthy Analytics Expert

They are seeking a Child Welfare/Healthy Analytics Expert to design, develop, and implement solutions that leverage AI and data science to improve decision-making and efficiency in multidisciplinary contracts.


Responsibilities

  • Designs, manages, and analyzes data systems that support data-driven decision-making across multiple disciplines that supports clients and business needs, including public health, behavioral health, Federal, State and local social programs, and Federal monitoring of social programs
  • Demonstrates expertise in developing Python code using a comprehensive portfolio of skills, tools, and resources as well as experience managing a GitHub repository
  • Designs data analytic tools, data visualization reports, and interactive dashboards using Tableau and/or Python (e.g., plotly and matplotlib)
  • Contributes to the development of and tracking key performance metrics that support multiple projects in public health, behavioral health, and Federal, State, and/or local monitoring contracts
  • Demonstrates ability to apply and share technical expertise within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to program that support both immediate and long-term priorities
  • Demonstrates expertise in harmonizing, merging and cleaning large and complex data sets (millions of records and hundreds of variables) to create variables, conducts descriptive and inferential statistical analysis using SAS, R, Stata, and Python (e.g., pandas and numpy)
  • Contributes to and drafts the preparation of client-ready written materials including, reports, PowerPoint presentations, and issue briefs that include data visualizations such as charts, tables, and infographics to convey findings and communicate information in a manner tailored to the intended audience
  • Assists with management of contract timelines and schedules
  • Executes tasks and deliverables for contract compliance

Skills

  • Master's Degree and 6 years of experience comprising of 3 years of focus data analytics experience in social sciences
  • Experience in public health, or social programs that support individuals and families including but not limited to child welfare, healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid, including administrative data and practice with technical expertise in data management, system design, and advanced analytics
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets (millions of records and hundreds of variables) and the intricacies involved in managing, wrangling, analyzing, and optimizing (query tuning) using administrative data of social programs such as, but not limited to, the context of child welfare (e.g., Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System, Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System, National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System)
  • Experience designing, developing, or implementing AI tools or models to enhance data analysis, automation, or support data insights
  • Experience in developing key performance indicators in social sciences
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data management platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) required
  • Proficient in using Tableau and PowerBi independently
  • Experience with Stata, SAS, R, other statistical packages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and clients
  • Knowledge of Federal monitoring reviews and child welfare data systems
  • Analytical skills to extract data insights, trends, and outcomes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
