[Remote] iOS Growth Engineer

Perplexity AI is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join their team revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. The role involves driving improvements to the mobile funnel and working cross-functionally to enhance user experience and conversion.


Responsibilities

  • Build and iterate on onboarding, sign‑up, paywall, checkout, and retention flows to improve conversion and LTV
  • Run rapid A/B tests and funnel experiments (e.g. UI variants, pricing tests, onboarding flows) and use data to decide what to ship and scale
  • Work cross‑functionally with growth PMs, designers, and data scientists to define hypotheses, prioritize experiments, and measure impact on key metrics (activation, conversion, churn, etc)
  • Build and maintain high‑quality, reusable components for growth surfaces (paywalls, modals, tooltips, etc.) and ensure they’re performant and hyper-optimized
  • You will work with the core team to design and implement novel mobile experiences

Skills

  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Strong Swift fundamentals and a proven track record of working with a modern iOS stack built with Swift, SwiftUI (iOS16+) and UIKit
  • Experience with experimentation platforms (e.g. Statsig, LaunchDarkly, Firebase A/B Testing) and analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel, Snowplow)
  • Experience with payment integrations (Apple In‑App Purchase, Stripe, RevenueCat) and subscription flows
  • Enjoys the craft of building nice UI, creating a good UX, and writing reusable and testable code
  • Understands low-level intricacies, and knows how to profile and measure app performance and speed
  • Comfortable working with a small, fast-moving team, and must be willing to dive in and take ownership
  • A passion for iOS development, and enjoys experimenting with what's new with each iteration of iOS and iPadOS
