[Remote] Language Content Specialist/ AI Linguist

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics, Language Studies, Communication, Speech Processing, or a related field
  • Native or near-native proficiency across the language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Strong listening, reading, and writing skills in English
  • Ability to strictly adhere to annotation guidelines and think analytically about units of language
  • Experience researching and applying {language placeholder} orthographic, stylistic, and formatting conventions to enforce consistent data annotation
  • 6+ months of natural language data labeling experience across multiple modalities (audio, text, image, video), including annotation, transcription, entity tagging, and quality assessment
  • Comfortable wearing headphones and performing transcription-type work for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable with the possibility of handling explicit or offensive language in annotation data
