[Remote] Lead, IT Architecture

They are seeking a Lead IT Architect to design and oversee IT systems architecture, ensuring adherence to standards and maintaining system integrity while supporting the company's modern IT platform.


Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable IT architectures that support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives
  • Integration and Consolidation: Ensure seamless integration and consolidation of data from various sources into unified analytics platforms
  • Standards and Compliance: Establish and enforce IT and data standards, policies, and compliance requirements to maintain system integrity and data security
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of IT systems and data analytics infrastructure
  • Data Governance: Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization
  • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive architectural documentation for data analytics solutions and provide training to IT staff and data analysts on system architecture and best practices
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that IT architecture supports data analytics needs effectively
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the IT architecture and develop mitigation strategies to protect data assets and ensure business continuity

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years prior experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior experience In lieu of degree, minimum 13 years of prior experience
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: Experience with industry-standard frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, Gartner EAF, DoDAF, MODAF, IAF, or Archimate
  • Skilled in creating detailed business process maps to analyze, design, and optimize the organization's workflows and ensure alignment between IT systems and business objectives
  • Proficient with various tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio with experience in creating executive level presentations and documentation
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or PMP certification, demonstrating the ability to manage and deliver complex IT projects
  • Awareness and understanding of emerging technologies and trends such as AI, ML, IoT, and how they can be leveraged within the organization
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP, Deltek, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration and data management
