The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage lending regulations, loan origination systems, and correspondent loan sale practices, along with strong working knowledge of residential loan products, pricing strategies, and loan structuring.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Originate residential mortgage loans through proactive outreach to internal partners and external referral sources.</p><p>• Develop and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, attorneys, financial advisors, and other referral partners.</p><p>• Guide borrowers through the loan process, from application to closing, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience.</p><p>• Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.</p><p>• Originate residential mortgages under sound quality control lending practices to mitigate risk. Monitor an existing loan portfolio to minimize loan delinquencies.</p><p>• Maintain thorough knowledge of current mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and pricing strategies.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with TRID, RESPA, and other applicable federal and state regulations.</p><p>• Utilize Encompass loan origination system to manage loan files, reports, and file documentation.</p><p>• Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure timely and accurate loan fulfillment.</p><p>• Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential mortgage loan originations.</p><p>• Proven track record of successful sales and relationship management.</p><p>• Strong understanding of TRID and RESPA compliance requirements.</p><p>• Experience with Encompass loan origination system preferred.</p><p>• Correspondent loan sale experience is a plus.</p><p>• Working knowledge of DU (Desktop Underwriter) and/or DO (Desktop Originator) is a plus.</p><p>• Knowledge of Fannie Mae loan programs is beneficial.</p><p>• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>• NMLS registration required.</p><p><br></p><p>First Bank is an EEO/AA Employer, M/F-Disabled-Veteran and LGBTQ+ can apply to our company for employment opportunities.</p>
